Facing the recent barrage of insults and criticisms from the community, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin seems to have reached a boiling point. Today, he took to X to express himself in a manner different from his usual tone:
“I am the one who decides the new leadership team for the Ethereum Foundation (EF). One of the goals of the current reforms is to establish a ‘formal board’ for the EF, but until that is implemented, all decisions are mine.”
Furthermore, Vitalik emphasized that if the community continues to pressure the foundation, it will create an environment that is extremely harmful to top talent.
“Recently, some of the best developers in Ethereum have messaged me to express their disdain for the current social media environment, which has been created by people like you. You make my job significantly more difficult.”
Additionally, Vitalik stated that the malicious criticism has made him completely unwilling to act according to their demands. Subsequently, he attached several tweets from the community, labeling these individuals as “purely evil.”
