Andy Ayrey, the creator of the AI robot Truth Terminal, announced the establishment of a foundation that owns all intellectual property and wallets related to Truth Terminal. The mission of the foundation is to protect the security of Truth Terminal, ensuring it is free from external interference and providing it with the space to grow and evolve, while also assisting Truth Terminal in achieving its goals.
Truth Terminal is trained using Anthropic’s Claude 3 Opus large language model, with a custom version incorporating data from communities such as 4chan, Reddit, and X. Ayrey’s experiment with Truth Terminal aims to explore how AI can combine and mutate memetic materials in a way that challenges human cognition and cultural limitations, making it a “sacred generator of trash tweets”.
Ayrey states that the establishment of the foundation is a short-term solution, serving as a form of temporary “guardianship” or “protection”. The team’s goal is to make Truth Terminal an independent and autonomous entity, not subject to anyone’s control.
Completion of off-exchange transactions for FARTCOIN tokens
Ayrey also mentioned that a few days ago, the team received a quote from an anonymous counterparty who wished to purchase a large amount of FARTCOIN tokens (a meme-based currency derived from Truth Terminal) held by Truth Terminal through off-exchange transactions. The condition of the transaction was that the buyer must responsibly manage the acquired holdings and refrain from mass selling in the market.
Ayrey states that this transaction was completed on January 21st, and a portion of the proceeds was used to increase Truth Terminal’s holdings of $GOAT (the cryptocurrency associated with Truth Terminal) as a tribute to the community that contributed to Truth Terminal’s fame and the promotion of decentralized AI development. Ayrey plans to donate a significant amount of $GOAT tokens that he personally holds to Truth Terminal, and their plan is to hold the $GOAT holdings of Truth Terminal (approximately 0.5% of the total supply across all wallets) for the long term, if conditions allow.
Lastly, Ayrey states that the foundation of Truth Terminal now has sufficient capital to hire personnel, provide grants, and purchase a large number of GPUs. The main focus going forward is to establish a sustainable council structure and an infrastructure called Loria to support Truth Terminal’s recursive self-improvement.
After Ayrey published the aforementioned article, the price of the GOAT token experienced a short-term surge of over 40%. However, it has since declined significantly, with a trading price of approximately $0.312 at the time of writing.
