February 26, 2025 — Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and user count, and a leader in the blockchain ecosystem, recently co-hosted the first offline multinational cross-border law enforcement training conference with its joint venture company in Thailand, Gulf Binance. The event brought together law enforcement personnel from various countries in the Asia-Pacific region to exchange knowledge and enhance professional skills, harnessing the power of blockchain technology to combat and dismantle illegal activities.

The one-day training session gathered experts from Binance, the law enforcement portal Kodex, leading blockchain intelligence platforms Chainalysis, Elliptic, Merkle Science, and TRM Labs, along with representatives from law enforcement agencies to share experiences and best practices in handling complex cases involving virtual assets. The event attracted over 120 speakers and participants from various public and private sectors, including the Thai Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the World Economic Forum’s Cybercrime Atlas project, as well as law enforcement officials from Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Singapore, and Australia. Among them, officials from the Taiwan District Prosecutors Office and the Taiwan Criminal Investigation Bureau shared case studies and investigative techniques at the conference, showcasing their capabilities and experience in investigating virtual asset cases.

One of the attendees, Chief Prosecutor Luo Wei-yuan from the Shilin District Prosecutors Office in Taiwan, stated:

Jarek Jakubcek, head of global law enforcement training at Binance, pointed out:
The success of Binance’s Asia-Pacific Law Enforcement Day further demonstrates Binance’s commitment to combating crime in collaboration with global law enforcement agencies and industry partners. By facilitating dialogue and enhancing law enforcement’s capacity to address virtual asset investigations, this event provided a platform for professionals on the front lines of crime fighting in the Asia-Pacific region to connect, collaborate, and empower one another.
This initiative integrates Binance’s global resources, cutting-edge technology provided by top blockchain tracking firms, and insights from industry experts, highlighting the achievements that can be accomplished through public-private partnerships. It also reaffirms Binance’s steadfast commitment to user protection and the establishment of a safe and transparent blockchain ecosystem for all.
