The 2024 United States presidential election began counting votes in Taiwan time on Wednesday morning (6th). According to data from the Associated Press, as of 11:34 AM, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump had obtained 198 votes, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris had received 112 votes.
Trump is currently leading in several swing states, including Pennsylvania (leading by 2.8%), North Carolina (leading by 2.7%), Georgia (leading by 3.2%), and Wisconsin (leading by 1.1%). Harris, on the other hand, is ahead in Michigan (leading by about 0.2%), while Arizona and Nevada have yet to count votes or are just starting their counting process.
Possibly influenced by Trump’s lead in the election, the price of Bitcoin surged past the historical high set in March of this year, briefly reaching the $75,000 mark. As of the time of reporting, the BTC trading price was $74,300, with a 24-hour increase of 8.66%.

Additionally, due to Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s support for Trump, Dogecoin (DOGE), which Musk often mentions, also continued to rise during the vote counting period, increasing by 34% over the past 24 hours. As of the time of reporting, the DOGE trading price was approximately $0.21.
