According to a report from “The Block”, Google now supports displaying wallet balances associated with Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domain names in search results.

The Ethereum Name Service provides human-readable domain names, such as example.eth, allowing users to link their Ethereum wallets to these domains, simplifying the process for cryptocurrency holders to transfer funds to other wallets.

Google introduced native support for Ethereum wallet balances in May 2023. Initially, users could search for specific public addresses and view their wallet balances directly in search results. Former ENS core team member Brantly Millegan noted today (22nd) that this feature has now been expanded to ENS domains.

This means that when users search for a specific ENS domain on Google, the search results will display the wallet balance associated with that domain’s blockchain address, as well as the address itself. The data comes from the Ethereum browser Etherscan, with the balance showing the last external transaction.

However, this service does not appear to be universally available. Some users on the X platform have noticed that their domains do not appear directly in Google search results. Millegan points out that the functionality operates more stably when using privacy browsing mode or logging out of Google services.
