According to information shared by several on-chain data tracking platforms, the Ethereum Foundation deposited Ether (ETH) into multiple decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms on Thursday. Shortly thereafter, the Ethereum Foundation confirmed this news on the social media platform X, stating that they had deployed 45,000 Ether (worth approximately $120 million) from their treasury, with the following details:
– Deposited 10,000 ETH to Spark

The Ethereum Foundation also indicated that there will be more actions in the future, including exploring staking and soliciting community suggestions regarding fund deployment. According to lmk.fun, the wallet used by the Ethereum Foundation for DeFi operations still has 5,000 ETH awaiting deployment.
Recently, the Ethereum Foundation has faced significant criticism from the public, with community concerns including its leadership structure, operational model, and financial plans. Subsequently, the Ethereum Foundation announced the establishment of a new wallet address to participate in the DeFi ecosystem, confirming the earlier statement by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin regarding organizational changes within the foundation.
