According to the report by “NFT Now”, the team behind the well-known NFT project Azuki, Chiru Labs, announced on Wednesday (10th) that they will collaborate with renowned Japanese anime director Gorō Taniguchi to produce an animated anthology series.
Gorō Taniguchi has directed several iconic anime works such as “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion”, “One Piece: Stampede”, and “BLOODY ESCAPE -Hell’s Escape Drama-“, and he believes that this collaboration will bring anime to a new audience. In a statement, he said:
Azuki is also working with Japan’s leading advertising and animation production company Dentsu to bring together top talent for this animated anthology series.
Reportedly, Azuki will release three complete stories with Gorō Taniguchi, each story featuring its own director and a group of character artists, with the aim of expanding the influence of the Azuki IP and connecting with anime fans worldwide.
This anthology series is part of a broader plan by Azuki to offer a range of short and long-form content to different audiences, with the plan set to be announced later this year. Azuki’s Art Director and Co-Creator Arnold Tsang stated:
In addition to the news of producing animation, another NFT project by Chiru Labs, BEANZ, recently announced a collaboration with Line Friends’ parent company IPX to launch physical products.
