Kraken Expands Trading Services
Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken announced on Monday that it has added U.S. stock trading features to its mobile and web platforms, allowing certain U.S. users to manage cryptocurrencies, stocks, and Wall Street funds simultaneously in a single account, similar to Robinhood.
This service expansion, conducted in partnership with licensed brokerage firm Alpaca, enables customers to trade over 11,000 U.S.-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) with zero commissions, with more than half supporting fractional trading. This means investors can trade less than one full share of a stock.
According to Kraken’s announcement on Monday, this service is initially available only in certain U.S. states, with plans to roll it out nationwide in the future. Additionally, Kraken has set its sights on major international markets such as the UK, Europe, and Australia.
