According to a report from “NFT Now”, the team behind the well-known NFT project Azuki, Chiru Labs, announced on Wednesday (10th) that they will collaborate with renowned Japanese anime director Gorou Taniguchi to produce an animated anthology series.
Gorou Taniguchi has directed several representative anime works such as “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion”, “One Piece The Movie: The Desert Princess and the Pirates: Adventures in Alabasta”, and “BLOODY ESCAPE – Hell’s Escape Drama”. He believes that this collaboration will bring anime to a new audience. In a statement, he said:
Azuki has also partnered with Japan’s leading advertising and animation production company Dentsu to gather top talent for this animated anthology series.
It is reported that Azuki will release three complete stories with Gorou Taniguchi, each story having its own director and a group of character artists, aiming to expand the influence of the Azuki IP and connect with anime fans worldwide.
This anthology series is part of Azuki’s broader plan to offer a range of short and long-form content to different audiences, with the plan set to be released later this year. Azuki’s art director and co-creator Arnold Tsang stated:
In addition to the news of producing animation, another NFT project from Chiru Labs, BEANZ, recently announced a collaboration with the parent company of Line Friends, IPX, to launch physical goods.
