Previously, Musk sparked controversy by liking a tweet promoting anti-Semitic conspiracy theories on the X platform, leading to major companies such as Apple, Disney, Airbnb, Amazon, and Coca-Cola pulling their ads from the X platform. Following this, Musk personally went to Israel to put out the fire, and publicly apologized for his actions in an interview yesterday, stating that it was the worst and dumbest thing he has ever done, while emphasizing that he is not an anti-Semite at all.
However, Musk’s apology was not to appease advertisers. On the contrary, he unleashed profanity-laden tirades against advertisers during the interview, telling them to all get lost and not to think they can threaten or blackmail him in this way.
