According to the Financial Supervisory Commission, the list of virtual currency platform operators that have completed the Anti-Money Laundering compliance declaration was updated today, with the number of operators increasing from 25 to 26. Unexpectedly, the operator that completed the compliance declaration this year is a company invested in by the Taiwan Mobile Group.
The list shows that the latest company to complete the compliance declaration is named Fusheng Digital Co., Ltd., and the person in charge is the general manager of the Taiwan Mobile Group, who is also the chairman and partner of the AppWorks Accelerator, Lin Zhi-Chen.
Further investigation revealed that everyone from the board of directors to the supervisor of the company comes from Taiwan Mobile. Among them, director Han Kun-Ju previously worked at PChome and was the driving force behind the Pi Wallet and P Coin ecosystem, while supervisor Tsai Qi-Yan, formerly the Chief Technology Officer at DBS Bank, is now the Chief Information Officer of the Taiwan Mobile Group, bearing the responsibility for the group’s IT transformation.
On the other hand, from the trademark registration information of Fusheng Digital Co., Ltd., it is evident that the company plans to launch an exchange named OPcrypto, as well as related asset management services.
