According to the information shared by the founder of SlowMist, Yu Xian, it was revealed that a phishing organization had been poisoned by a colleague’s associated address last week, resulting in a loss of 10 ETH.
This “poisoning” method is a common practice in on-chain phishing attacks. The attacker transfers a very small amount of cryptocurrency to a wallet address that is similar to the victim’s address, and once the victim relaxes their guard and copies the fake address during the transfer, they fall victim and actively transfer the funds to the fake address controlled by the attacker.
