According to the official information from the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong, the list of applicants for virtual asset trading platforms shows that Hong Kong FinTech Company Limited, a subsidiary of OKX, submitted a license application to the SFC on November 16. This license will allow the approved platform to provide virtual asset services to investors in Hong Kong.
Currently, there are 7 companies applying for virtual asset trading platform licenses, including PantherTrade, rumored to be a subsidiary of Futu Holdings, and VDX, an affiliate of the well-established Hong Kong brokerage firm Victory Securities.
The virtual asset trading platforms that have already been officially licensed by the SFC are HashKey Exchange and OSL Exchange.
