According to today’s report from Zombit, Binance exchange is in negotiations with the US Department of Justice (DOJ) to settle a lawsuit, and the DOJ may demand the largest settlement amount in the history of cryptocurrency (over $4 billion) from the company.
Coincidentally, according to information previously shared by the online data analysis company ChainArgos, Binance exchange’s cold wallet transferred nearly 39 billion USDT to its hot wallet on November 9th.
Online data shows that these USDT tokens were transferred from Binance’s cold wallet “Binance-Cold 2” on the Tron blockchain to its “Binance 3” hot wallet, with 3 billion USDT subsequently sent to “Binance-Hot 7”, leaving around 36 billion USDT still held in “Binance 3”.
Are the settlement funds already prepared?
