NFT platform Blur announced on Tuesday morning that Season 2 has ended, and traders on Blur and Creators are eligible to receive airdrops of Season 2 tokens. Season 3 will start today and last for 6 months, along with the launch of Layer 2 network Blast by Blur founder, for the distribution of Season 3 airdrops to the Blur community.
However, Huang Licheng, a well-known figure, criticized Blur and its founder Pacman on the X platform after the announcement by Blur. According to a tweet from Lookonchain, Huang Licheng seems dissatisfied with the 6 million BLUR tokens airdropped to him (approximately 2.14 million US dollars) as it does not compensate for the losses he incurred trading NFTs on the platform.
Data from Blur shows that Huang Licheng has realized losses totaling 12,563.2892 ETH (valued at around 25.24 million US dollars) from his trades on Blur, with unrealized profits of 1077.7401 ETH (approximately 2.16 million US dollars).
As a loyal supporter of ApeCoin, Huang Licheng then remarked, “Wouldn’t it be interesting if ApeChain is the ‘first Ethereum L2 to provide native yield for ETH and stablecoins?'” It appears to be a call to the ApeCoin community, urging ApeChain to develop features similar to Blast for competition and also mocking the current Blast for not truly being an L2.
Data indicates that Huang Licheng purchased a total of 6.08 million APE tokens between August 2 and November 14, with an average purchase price of around $2.13. He has not made any further purchases of APE tokens after November 14.
