SEC Requires ETF Issuers to Submit Final Amended Documents
Key Approval Date: January 10
According to information shared by Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has notified all Bitcoin spot ETF issuers that the final amendments to all S-1 applications must be completed by Friday, and only applications that submit amended documents within the deadline will be considered for the first wave of approvals.
Furthermore, the SEC also emphasizes that the application documents cannot mention “in-kind creation”, otherwise the application will be rejected.
The Bitcoin spot ETF is about to face a critical approval date. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) must make a decision on the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF on January 10, with no further delays allowed, while decisions on 7 ETF applications including BlackRock, ProShares, VanEck, etc., will be made on January 14-17, without the possibility of further delays.
As the market generally believes that the SEC will not give any party a first-mover advantage, and with January 10 being the final deadline for the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF decision, January 10 naturally becomes the key date for the SEC to approve the Bitcoin spot ETF.
