Binance’s Senior Counterterrorism Specialist Resigns
13 Executives Have Left Binance This Year
According to Bloomberg’s report, Jennifer Hicks, the senior counterterrorism specialist responsible for overseeing Binance’s anti-money laundering program, has resigned from the exchange this month after two years of service.
Reportedly, Jennifer Hicks previously worked as a cybercrime investigator at Chainalysis and also served in the United States Navy. According to her LinkedIn profile, Jennifer Hicks joined Binance at the end of 2021, and just two months ago, she shared the news of her promotion to Binance’s anti-money laundering consultant on LinkedIn.
Following Jennifer Hicks’s resignation, Binance adds another name to the list of departing executives. The main executives who have left Binance since being sued by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in June this year are as follows:

September 6, 2023: Vladimir Smerkis, Binance’s General Manager for Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
September 6, 2023: Gleb Kostarev, Binance’s Vice President for Eastern Europe, Turkey, the Commonwealth of Independent States, Australia, and New Zealand.
September 4, 2023: Mayur Kamat, Binance’s Product Manager.
August 31, 2023: Leon Foong, Head of Binance in the Asia-Pacific region.
July 7, 2023: Steven Christie, Binance’s Chief Compliance Officer.
July 6, 2023: Patrick Hillmann, Binance’s Chief Strategy Officer.
July 6, 2023: Han Ng, Binance’s General Counsel.
July 6, 2023: Steve Milton, Binance’s Vice President of Global Markets and Communications.
